WHAT IS EARTH DAY?!

You've to know what you're celebrating right? :D So we're here to tell you.

Earth Day is like a birthday,

Just like a birthday to celebrate your 1 year, 2 year, 3 year old,

Earth day is a special day for Earth.

Earth day is born on 22nd April, 1970;

In San Francisco, California.

Every year, 100+ different countries come together in celebration for EArth day.

It's the most celebrated environmental event wordwide.

Earth Day is to remind us to appreciate nature;

and learn ways to protect our environment.

History

Jorn McConnell is the founder of Earth Day,

when he first conceived that day,

he thought it has to satisfy two conditions.

1. it must be a meaningful day.

2. it has be to universally accepted by all mankind.

In the end, he chose the day when California was shook by an Earth Tremor.

It turned out to be a day when day and night are equal around the world.

And that it's the day when spring just started.

So it was a meaningful day that could also remind California and the world;

what it would be like if mother earth isnt protected.

Disasters and deaths would be everywhere. It would be common.

And this day, was also a common day with common conditions for the world.

He wanted everyone to "join in peaceful thoughts and prayers to nurture nature"
